On 1st August 2007 Scouts of every age from around UK will join with 28
million Scouts from around the world to celebrate the dawn of a new
Century of Scouting.
Scouting was founded on 1st August 1907 and so this day one hundred
years on sees the Scouts of the Epping Forest South district taking part
in a sunrise ceremony to celebrate both he history of scouting and its
bright future. Scouts from around the UK and the world are encouraged to
join our ceremony which will include a breakfast following the main flag
break.
The Scout association is encouraging Scouts of all ages and
nationalities to attend a sunrise ceremony wherever they are on August 1st
2007 and it is in this spirit that many of our group who are traveling at
the time are taking part in ceremony's across the world. You can see where
