Downpour Fails To Dampen
Centenary Camp
Over 200 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts,
Explorers, Leaders / Helpers and parents joined in our centenary campfire in
the Friary grounds as the bank holiday weather did its best to dampen our
enthusiasm. Perhaps divine intervention or the vocal skills of ASL Andrew
Barrett managed to fend off the rain clouds for just enough time, as we lit
our beacon at 8.30pm along with 200,000 other Scouts across the world.
We'll have some photos online
soon and can only hope the next centenary event on August 1st brings us a
little sunshine!
